Coopérative funéraire de l’Outaouais

The multifunctional complex of the Coopérative funéraire de l'Outaouais, the Lac Beauchamp pavilion, under the seal of the architect, Yan Labelle, of the firm Lapalme Rheault + ACSL architects and associates, has a surface area of 12,050 sq. ft. on two floors. The civil and structural engineering plans were the responsibility of the firm QDI (Quadrivium + Dumont Groupe-Conseil), while the electromechanical plans were the responsibility of the firm LCA. The architecture of the building blends harmoniously with the natural environment of the Lac Beauchamp site. The building includes a ceremonial hall with a capacity of 230 people, a reception hall with a capacity of 130 people with a terrace, a bar service, an exhibition room, a large columbarium, a room for recollection with a fireplace, charging stations for electric cars, high quality projection and sound equipment, including the webcasting service of the funeral services, work areas for family gatherings as well as for celebrants, space for caterers and an elevator to lead to the administrative offices which are located on the second floor. The ultramodern celebration room is open-air with exposed ceilings, including laminated wood beams covered with tongue-and-groove pine decking and large curtain walls overlooking the Lake Beauchamp. In addition to the other materials used that will bring nobility to the building, brick masonry and extruded aluminum panels.
